IQ Inc. is seeking a mid-to-senior level DevOps Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, supporting diverse teams, and creating dependable cloud and automation solutions. This role offers the chance to influence DevOps practices across multiple products and environments while enjoying a high level of ownership and autonomy.
If you like variety in your work, appreciate switching between different client needs, and want to help shape how DevOps is implemented across an organization, we’d love to talk with you.
What You’ll Do
Architect, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure in both Azure and AWS
Build and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions, primarily using Terraform (with Bicep or CloudFormation when required)
Create CI/CD pipelines from the ground up using Azure DevOps
Oversee and optimize several parallel client environments (Development, Testing, Demo, Production)
Containerize applications with Docker and work with Kubernetes where appropriate
Integrate automated testing within build and deployment workflows
Apply security‑focused best practices, including IAM governance, audit logging, SBOM and dependency scanning
Establish structured logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
Participate in or lead post‑incident reviews, root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up remediation
Promote cost‑effective cloud usage through tagging, monitoring, and resource optimization
Document architecture, processes, and system decisions in clear and consistent detail
Work independently while supporting multiple internal and external teams simultaneously
Additional Responsibilities
When DevOps workload is lighter, contribute directly to product development efforts; candidates should have real‑world software engineering experience, ideally using .NET/C#, Angular, and Python, and be comfortable jumping into production‑level coding as needed.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or similar hands‑on technical role
Strong, practical experience with both Azure and AWS
Professional experience building IaC solutions with Terraform
Ability to design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Solid understanding of Docker and container‑based workflows
Experience supporting multi‑environment deployment setups
Hands‑on integration of automated tests into build and release processes
Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST)
Working knowledge of IAM principles, audit logging, and dependency/security scanning tools
Capability to manage multiple client environments with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills and reliable documentation habits
Nice-to-Haves
Experience working with Kubernetes
Knowledge of Bicep or CloudFormation
Exposure to observability platforms (logging stacks, metrics systems, alerting tools)
Experience guiding incident response and facilitating postmortems
Consulting background or experience supporting multiple cross‑functional teams
Cost‑optimization experience across cloud providers
We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.
This is a hybrid role and will require some on-site presence. As such, local candidates are strongly preferred.
