Sales Director (U.S.) - Printing & Industrial ConsumablesCompensation: $150K base + performance bonusLocation: U.S. (HQ: Schaumburg, IL; nationwide presence)Remote work is acceptable for candidates based east of the Midwest Travel: Required (nationwide) About the RoleWe are seeking a results-driven Sales Director to lead and transform our U.S. commercial operations within the printing and industrial consumables sector. This high-impact leadership role oversees a multi-entity sales organization, including both direct sales teams and a nationwide distributor network.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in accelerating growth, expanding market share, and building a high-performance sales culture within a business that offers strong product reputation and significant upside potential. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & GrowthDrive 5-10% annual revenue growth while maintaining profitabilityIdentify and prioritize target market segments (e.g., large-scale printing companies)Partner with global stakeholders to align U.S. strategy with broader business objectivesAssess organizational capabilities and address gaps to support growthDirect Sales LeadershipLead, develop, and manage a team of 5+ sales professionals across multiple regionsEstablish and track KPIs (pipeline activity, customer visits, win rates, etc.)Develop and execute strategic account plansEngage directly with key customers through in-person meetingsProvide ongoing coaching, performance management, and accountabilityDistributor Network ManagementOversee a nationwide distributor network, including territory planning and performance managementSet and monitor weekly and monthly sales targetsRecruit, onboard, and develop new distribution partners as neededManage channel conflicts and optimize go-to-market coverageOrganization BuildingStrengthen the sales organization through talent development and strategic hiringFoster a data-driven, performance-oriented sales cultureQualificationsRequired Experience10+ years of sales experience in manufacturing or distribution, preferably in pressroom consumables or related fieldsProven experience selling consumable products within the printing industryDemonstrated leadership managing a national sales team (5+ members)Strong track record of building and leading KPI-driven direct sales organizationsExperience working with large, national printing companiesHands-on experience managing distributor networksExcellent communication skills in EnglishPreferred BackgroundExperience in UV ink sales within the U.S. marketExperience working with or within Japanese organizationsBackground in trading companies, business planning, or consultingSenior-level leadership experienceApplication Form
