CNC Machinist / Setup OperatorFull-Time, On-Site - Monday-Thursday, 10-Hour ShiftsThe CNC Machinist / Setup Operator plays a critical role in delivering the precision and reliability customers expect.Role overviewThis is a hands-on CNC machining role for an experienced machinist who enjoys both setup and production. The position involves setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, verticals, or horizontals to produce high-quality components at or above established cycle times and quality standards.The machinist is responsible for reading and understanding prints, setting up jobs, running parts, and maintaining tight dimensions through tool and offset adjustments. The role fits someone who is comfortable owning their workfrom raw material to finished partand who takes pride in consistent, accurate machining.Key responsibilitiesSafely and efficiently operate CNC equipment (mills, lathes, verticals, or horizontals).Read, understand, and follow engineering prints and work instructions.Set up machines, perform changeovers, and run a variety of part numbers.Change, touch off, and adjust offsets as needed to maintain specified dimensions.Load raw material and unload finished parts.Perform manual deburring as required.Conduct in-process inspections of machined components.Verify parts meet specifications using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Maintain a clean, organized work area.Complete daily machine upkeep and preventive maintenance tasks.Uphold high ethical and safety standards in all work.Support other duties as needed within the production team.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Minimum of 5 years of related CNC machining experience.Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify part accuracy.Strong blueprint reading and basic math skills relevant to machining.Ability to follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to set up and run various machines in the facility, or willingness to learn.Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods (10-hour shifts), reach overhead, and perform normal shop floor movements including occasional stooping or crouching.Adequate vision for close work, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment.Work schedule and environmentFull-time, on-site position.Core schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts.Occasional Friday overtime as needed to meet customer demand.Manufacturing environment focused on safety, cleanliness, and organized work areas.Compensation and benefitsMedical plan options.Dental and vision coverage.Paid holidays and earned PTO.401(k) plan with employer match.What this role offersThis position is a strong fit for a CNC professional who wants:Ownership of setups and day-to-day machining decisions.Stability with a long-standing, engineering-driven manufacturer.A consistent four-day core workweek with opportunities for overtime.A team culture that values precision, safety, and doing things the right way.Please submit a resume for consideration.
