Restaurant Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, team leadership, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining exceptional service quality in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in both casual and fine dining settings, along with expertise in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, will be highly valued. The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and front-of-house activities
Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols across all areas of the restaurant
Coordinate shift management to optimize staffing levels during peak hours while controlling costs
Conduct staff training sessions focused on food production, customer service, safety procedures, and operational policies
Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
Assist with budgeting, cost control, and overall food management strategies to maximize profitability
Support catering, banquet events, or bar services as needed to enhance revenue streams
Lead efforts in hospitality management by creating a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike
Skills
Proven experience in restaurant management within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management practices
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team management
Ability to manage inventory control effectively and oversee food safety compliance
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Experience with shift management, budgeting, and food industry operations
Strong culinary background or fine dining experience is advantageous
Previous experience in supervising food production, catering, or bar services preferred
Effective communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and develop staff through training & development initiatives
