Java Developer (USC & GC)

Overview Join Sonsoft, a growing IT services firm, to design, develop, and deliver Java/J2EE applications within an agile team. You will contribute across the SDLC, building RESTful services and microservices while applying OOAD, design patterns, and robust testing. You’ll work in a matrix organization, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet quality, schedule, and budget targets. ResponsibilitiesContribute to definition, design, and delivery of Java/J2EE applications across the SDLCDevelop Web Services using Java/J2EE with Spring and Hibernate/ORMBuild RESTful services and/or microservicesApply OOAD and design patterns in hands-on developmentWork with version control tools (Stash/GIT)Engage with Oracle/IBM DB2 databasesCode and test complex programs independently in a matrix organizationTest with TestNG/JUnit and debug advanced codeSupport Agile/Scrum development processesFamiliarity with application lifecycle management tools; knowledge of AKKA is a plusDeliver projects meeting quality, schedule, milestones, and budget commitmentsCommunicate effectively with management and stakeholders; maintain strong working relationshipsDemonstrate self-motivation and commitment across shifting priorities Key requirements3+ years of Java/J2EE development experienceStrong experience with Spring and Hibernate/ORMExperience in RESTful services and/or microservices (a plus)Solid OOAD and design patterns understandingHands-on with version control (Stash/GIT)Knowledge of Oracle/IBM DB2 databasesAbility to code complex programs independently in a matrix organizationExperience testing with TestNG/JUnit and debugging complex codeStrong understanding of Agile/Scrum developmentAwareness of ALM tools and methodologiesNice-to-have: AKKA frameworkStrong written and verbal communicationInterpersonal skills and stakeholder collaborationSelf-motivated with a high level of commitmentJava/J2EESpringHibernate/ORM
