We're partnering with a growing aerospace machine shop seeking a Quality Engineer who wants more than a traditional inspection role. This position offers a direct path toward Quality Leadership while maintaining hands-on involvement in quality operations, process control, and compliance.This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment who wants greater ownership and visibility within a small, fast-paced organization.What You'll Do:✔ Own quality processes across active production jobs✔ Manage schedules for First Article Inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections✔ Support AS9100 and AS9102 compliance activities✔ Review quality documentation and maintain audit readiness✔ Partner with production leadership to drive quality decisions✔ Ensure inspection requirements are completed at the correct stages of production✔ Support continuous improvement and process control initiativesRole Breakdown:• Approximately 50% hands-on inspection• Approximately 50% quality systems, process control, and complianceWhat We're Looking For:• Quality Engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing• Strong GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading skills• Experience supporting AS9100 and AS9102 requirements• First Article Inspection (FAI) experience• Ability to manage schedules, priorities, and quality processes• Desire to grow into Quality Management responsibilitiesPreferred Background:• Small machine shop experience• Low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing• Aerospace machining environments• Aluminum and titanium component manufacturingWhy This Opportunity?✅ Direct path into Quality Leadership✅ High visibility and ownership✅ Small-team environment where your impact matters✅ Aerospace precision manufacturing✅ Opportunity to help shape and improve quality processesCompensation:$90K–$105K base + 10–15% annual bonusSchedule:Mon–Fri, flex hoursIf you're a Quality Engineer ready to take the next step in your career, let's connect.
