Front End Software Engineer

Pointer Technologies is looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. A front end software engineer will be expected to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance web applications and user facing web applications in accordance with documented requirementsThe ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of software engineering concepts, and a desire to grow as a technical professional. This person is diligent, works well with others, inspired to learn, driven by mission and practices effective communication.ResponsibilitiesBe able to work as a part of a team as you design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance web applications and user facing web applications based upon documented requirementsReview and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and to document test resultsUtilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environmentProvide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Open-Source Software (OSS) and/or Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software in place of new developmentPerform requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software componentsRequirementsExperience using the Linux CLIExperience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processesRecent software development experience using front end technologies such as VueJS, ReactJS, Angular, node, npm and other front end toolkits and frameworksExperience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CIExperience with Git Source Control SystemNice To HaveExperience with containerization principles and tools such as Docker, Docker Swarm, KubernetesExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Technical leadership experienceClearanceTS/SCI clearance with polygraph requiredAbout UsPointer Technologies is Mission Forward and Employee Owned.We leverage talented engineers and effective technologies to drive success in our nation’s National Security and Intelligence missions.
