Regional Float PCU RNContingent- 24 hours per monthShifts Available: MidnightsGENERAL SUMMARY:Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).Henry Ford Health BestChoice/MISS Overview:Best Choice/MISS is a system-wide, contingent, float pool which offers the opportunity for an RN to work in a variety of settings throughout Henry Ford Health. This may be ongoing to fill an employee's hours that is on a leave of absence, call-ins, increase of census or to cover vacation requests. It should be understood, therefore, that employees may be asked to perform job-related duties beyond those explicitly described above.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.Willingness to float to multiple locations.Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.Current BLS.Current ACLS, NRP, EFM, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS where required.TB, vaccines (i.e., flu).Additional InformationOrganization: Corporate ServicesDepartment: Best Choice ProgramShift: Night JobUnion Code: Not Applicable
