Sr. Property Accountant
OverviewWe're looking for a Senior Property Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial assets. This role owns the financials end-to-end and partners closely with property management. You'll handle reporting, analysis, and compliance while keeping things accurate and on schedule.Duties: Lead month-end and quarter-end close for assigned propertiesPrepare financial statements under GAAP, including supporting schedulesReview rent rolls, lease data, and billing to ensure accuracyInvestigate and resolve billing or revenue discrepanciesAnalyze operating results and provide variance explanationsSupport budgeting and quarterly reforecasts with property teamsCalculate CAM reconciliations, tax escalations, and annual true-upsMaintain and audit key property-level data across internal systemsPrepare lender and ownership reporting packagesReconcile balance sheet accounts and research variancesTrack and record fixed assets and depreciationReview lease terms and ensure proper financial treatmentSupport internal and external audits with required documentationPartner cross-functionally with AP, AR, lease admin, and legalRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3-6+ years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate or property accountingStrong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, data analysis)Experience with financial reporting and reconciliationsAbility to manage multiple properties and deadlines at onceStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityComfortable working with lease data and complex agreementsClear communication skills with both finance and non-finance teamsYardi, AppFolio, MRI or other comparable ERP preferredNice to HaveCommercial real estate exposureExperience with CAM reconciliations and lease abstractionsFamiliarity with property management or accounting platformsBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: https://jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com/eeoc/Completion of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
