Software Engineer

This is a program office role, rather than a software development role. As such, the individual does not perform technical work but rather supports it through a holistic understanding of the weapon system, software requirements, performance metrics, etc. The ideal candidate is a keen learner who asks questions for better understanding.What You Will Be DoingResponsible for Surface to Air Missile Communications support for Radio Frequency missile communications components.Operational and technical support to integrate existing and developing operational command and control systems.Develop and document system architectures and functions in applicable Interface Control Documents, specifically the interface document.Provide performance assessment and verification (PAV) support to the Systems Engineer for Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program Office.PAV processes and plan development, monitor and implement plans to assess and verify system performanceWhat We Need From YouUS Citizenship with Active Secret ClearanceBachelor's Degree (STEM)7+ years of experience working on DOD or missile defense software programs Works Independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasksAbility to apply engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problemsUnderstanding of how to provide programmatic oversight of a major weapons system.
