LocationBrookfield Place - 181 Bay StreetJob DescriptionAs a member of the Brookfield Infrastructure Finance and Operations team, you will report to the Vice President, Finance and work alongside a strong team and collaborate with several internal and external stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesReview quarterly reporting to investors and other users, including financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP – Investment Company Accounting and IFRSReview of investor Partners' Capital Statements (PCAPs) and available commitment schedules on a quarterly basisPresentation of quarterly results to senior managementOversee the team's interaction with various service providers to ensure information being provided is accurate and provided in a timely basisReview valuations of fund investments on a quarterly basisReview of accounting packages for individual legal entities, including review of tax financialsPrepare internal and external audit requests and maintain appropriate control documentationManage and review capital calls from, and distributions to investorsAssist with managing fund operations, including liquidity management, investor queries, forecasting and complianceThorough understanding of the legal structure of the various funds and the related impact on funds flows and consolidationAssist with analysis of complex accounting issues that arise, including the structuring of new acquisitionsProvide oversight on any improvements to the reporting process and actively coach team membersSpecial projects & ad hoc requests as requiredRequirementsUniversity degreeProfessional accounting designation (CPA/CA)Minimum of seven years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functionsExperience in private funds and knowledge of the investment management industry, and experience dealing with complex ownership structures would be an assetDemonstrated leadership ability and initiativeExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilityExemplifies the right motivation by aspiring to achieve collective goalsAbility to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing prioritiesSuperior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlinesStrong financial systems experience, including advanced ExcelExperience with Mercatus, Workiva, Anaplan – all an assetSelf-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional developmentPosition Opening ReasonNew PositionEEO StatementBrookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
