Forensic Anthropologist - Postgraduate Research Associate (HI)

SNA International's team works together in pursuit of the same cause: to build a safe and just world by empowering organizations in the use of forensics, biometrics, and identity intelligence.The Forensic Anthropologist Postgraduate Research Associate supports the Department of Defense's personnel accounting efforts by conducting technical and scientific analysis, forensic testing, and providing associated reports at the expert level in order to identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts.***This is a 100% onsite position in HawaiiCritical Work Responsibilities Include:Correlate investigative evidence with laboratory findings to achieve identification of casualtiesDemonstrate experience in osteological analysis and a thorough grasp of the methods used to create a biological profilePrepare professional-level reports for submission to higher authorities detailing analytical findingsExhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt communication styles to different audiencesDemonstrate a highly organized, detail-oriented, and precise approach to recording analytical results and findingsWork closely with other analysts and members of staff in a team environment, and be able to take direction when requiredWork independently with client staff supporting and anticipating client needs and demonstrating problem-solving skillsPerform tasks under tight deadlines and manage shifting prioritiesFollow all client policies and proceduresComplete other duties as assigned that are within scope of this position descriptionMinimum Education and Experience Requirements:M.A./M.S. in anthropology, or a related fieldExperience in osteological analysis and creating a biological profileExperience in forensic casework is beneficial but not requiredProficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and FORDISCMust pass competency and proficiency tests within 90 days of start date and maintain proficiency throughout employment with SNA while contracted to the DPAAPossess a demonstrated history of research dissemination via conferences and publicationsWork Environment:Work closely with other analysts and members of staff in a team environment, and be able to take direction when requiredWork independently with client staff supporting and anticipating client needs and demonstrating problem-solving skillsHave experience performing tasks under tight deadlines and managing shifting prioritiesFollow all client policies and proceduresTo Apply:Please submit a cover letter along with your CV.
