In this role, you will:Perform a variety of mammography procedures with precision and compassionProduce high-quality diagnostic mammograms in accordance with established protocolsSelect appropriate exposure factors and positioning techniques to achieve optimal images with the lowest dose possibleFollow radiation safety practices and maintain compliance with ALARA principlesPrepare exam rooms and equipment for mammography proceduresPosition patients accurately and use immobilization/support devices to ensure safety, image quality, and patient comfortVerify patient identity and confirm that provider orders match the exam being performedEnsure all documentation is complete and accurate prior to proceduresEnter patient and technical data accurately into the computer systemInput patient charges accuratelyPrint films and burn CDs as neededMaintain required mammography logs and tracking documentation, including the medical outcomes logPerform and document daily, weekly, monthly, and annual quality control measures, and take corrective action when neededMaintain a strong working knowledge of MQSA standards and ensure compliance in all aspects of mammography practiceMaintain accurate and complete records of mammography procedures and QC testing in accordance with regulatory requirementsSupport compliance with EQUIP requirements and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiativesDemonstrate experience with accreditation standards, including ACR and FDA guidelinesMaintain inventory of supplies and communicate needs to the clinic supervisorUse imaging equipment safely and according to policy, reporting malfunctions promptlyMaintain the cleanliness and readiness of equipment after useFollow all aspects of the Health Care District's Code of ConductParticipate in emergency duty if required, including support in special needs or Red Cross shelters and response to natural or man-made disastersQualificationsRequired:Associate's DegreeLicensed in the State of Florida as a RadiographerARRT registered as a MammographerPreferred:Two years of mammography experienceCPR CertificationWorking knowledge of MQSA, EQUIP, ACR, and FDA standards and accreditation processesJob InfoJob Identification 875Job Category ImagingJob Schedule Part timeJob Shift DayLocations 4801 S CONGRESS AVE, Lake Worth, FL, 33461, US (On-site)Department Radiology - LMCAbout UsThe Health Care District of Palm Beach County is an independent special taxing district that has served as a healthcare safety net for more than 36 years to fill in gaps in access to healthcare services.
