Director for International Business Development – Canada & Latin AmericaLocation: Ottawa, Canada.Position OverviewThis senior leadership role is key to achieving Boeing's objectives in defense sales and marketing activity within Canada and Latin America. The incumbent will manage and expand a team of sales professionals, coordinate with Boeing's global resources, and oversee campaigns that secure customer and vendor commitments.Position ResponsibilitiesLeverage Boeing products, services, and processes to support customer commitments and drive business growth.Create, maintain, and grow customer relationships to become trusted partners with multiple international customers.Develop in-depth knowledge of customer business, culture, geopolitical environment, and requirements.Collaborate with internal Boeing teams (e.g., Global, Global Government Operations, Global Services, BGS, BDS) to communicate key issues and resolution paths.Lead and coordinate teams of sales professionals to execute strategies and tactics that drive business growth with acceptable margins.Analyze competitor products and services to improve competitive position and secure customer commitments.Build industry relationships for local collaborations supporting the BDS International Strategic Partnerships organization.Support business case analysis and obtain authorization for campaigns to deliver customer solutions.Manage internal budgets for international campaigns.Assist in proposal development, including themes, discriminators, statement of work, cost estimates, executive summary, and pricing from the customer's perspective.Identify emerging talent within Boeing and partners to attract and retain future leaders.Lead Latin American marketing and sales responsibilities with minimal travel.Basic Qualifications (Required)Experience interfacing directly with military customers, understanding their organization, requirements, planning, and procurement processes.Experience working with international defense customers in shaping and developing requirements.7+ years in the defense industry or military service.Eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program assessment.Legally authorized to work in Canada.No risk to safeguarding controlled goods.Eligible to handle U.S. export-controlled data.Preferred Qualifications (Desired)Experience working directly with the Canadian Armed Forces or equivalent CAF operational experience.Experience leading campaigns in Canada.Demonstrated leadership as a seasoned sales or military leader.Fluent in English.Bachelor's degree or equivalent.12+ years in defense industry or military service.Conflict of InterestSuccessful candidates must satisfy Boeing's Conflict of Interest assessment process.Additional InformationLocal hire in Canada; benefits and pay determined by Canadian regulations.
