Regional Sales Representative
We are hiring for Portland, Oregon . Drive revenue growth and expand Quectel’s customer base within an assigned region by promoting and selling IoT connectivity products. Own end-to-end sales performance, meet KPIs (meetings, technical evaluations, quotes, design wins), and build lasting customer relationships through regular on-site engagement.
Schedule: Mondays in home office for follow-ups and prospecting. First full week each month dedicated to forecasting, funnel review, and travel planning. Remaining weeks spent visiting customers on-site (3+ meetings/day, Tue–Fri). Travel exceeds 50% of working time.
Key Responsibilities
Develop deep product knowledge and apply it to sell Quectel solutions to current and prospective customers
Prospect and grow the sales funnel with support from Outbound Sales and Marketing
Manage the full sales cycle: discovery, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close
Execute a strategic territory/vertical sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Prepare and deliver customer presentations; follow up with meeting summaries
Prepare quotes and coordinate development kits and samples
Collaborate with Technical Sales Managers, FAEs, and Product Managers to resolve technical questions
Manage SoW, MSA, and NDA execution with customers and internal teams
Coordinate globally to support customers’ manufacturing/development partners
Work with Commercial Specialist team on forecasting and backlog management
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide pipeline reporting to leadership
Represent Quectel at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in any field
2+ years of industry experience (sales experience not required; engineering, technical sales, product/project management, or channel management backgrounds welcome)
Strong written, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage a demanding travel schedule
Preferred
Technical background or solutions engineering / pre-sales experience
Knowledge of IoT/M2M ecosystem, 5G, LTE, LPWA, and GNSS technologies
Existing relationships with OEMs, system integrators, or carriers in North America
Experience in automotive, healthcare, smart cities, or industrial automation verticals
Multilingual: English required; Mandarin or Spanish a plus
