Traffic - Switcher

Trailer Switcher Switches trailers to and from yard and docks. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Locates and moves trailers as directed by Receiving, Shipping, & Traffic personnel. Moves trailers to docks and yard as directed by dispatcher. Complies with all Traffic procedures. Complies with all safety procedures. Excellent safety record. Organizes trailers in the yard. Communicates and contributes to department goals and objectives. Communicates any equipment damage to management. Performs yard checks daily. Performs other duties as assigned. Special Skills, Experience or Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent experience Has active/current Driver's License, preferably CDL. 2 years Switcher experience. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to listen and follow detailed instructions. Ability to organize and complete all necessary paperwork in English.
