ABOUT THE JOB: The Dynamics 365 Developer will report to the Director of Information Technology and provide leadership on best practices for solution design, development and system administration within the Dynamics 365 environment as well as supporting various integrations into other systems. This role will also be responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Systems to ensure high levels of availability, accuracy, consistency and security. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management. Operates, optimizes and supports Microsoft D365 environment. Works with internal and external partners to design, develop and deploy enhancements within the D365 environment including modifications to functional processes, reporting and integrations with other systems. Work with business and IT partners to configure the D365 environment and maintain configuration in conjunction with business change, compliance requirements and day-to-day processing of system. Perform business requirements analysis and design. Perform gap/fit analysis between D365 functionality and organizational requirements. Document functional requirements and software designs. Maintain knowledge of advances in development strategies, platform updates and technical tools; ensuring those tools are leveraged to create the highest quality solution and support. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field desired; certification in Dynamics AX Development, Dynamics AX Installation and Configuration preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Dynamics 365/AX development, including X++ programming; plus 2 years of experience in Object Oriented SQL, scripting automation skills and developing reports through SSRS. Strong technical aptitude; experience in Dynamics 365/AX, X++, Azure DevOps, API Management and Service Bus and SQL. Experience with installation/configuration base components of D365: user groups, security, connections to databases, etc. Thorough understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX functionality (order management, procurement, inventory management, fulfillment, manufacturing, financials). Solid understanding of the AX technology stack and development methodology. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong communication and analytical reasoning skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office applications. Extremely detail oriented and able to complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to effectively manage multiple issues/tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality. Ability to perform short- and long-range planning. Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and/or situations. Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK EFFORT: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lbs. Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in environment. Compliance with company attendance standards. FLSA status: salaried.
