We are hiring a very special kind of pet professional to lead them. While our clients are mostly dogs, we provide care for other pets as well, and we want a mentor who shares that broad love for animals.Your Duties • Foundational & Advanced Instruction: Teach basic techniques to trainees with little to no prior experience, while providing hands-on instruction in breed-standard cuts, scissoring, and styling for developing groomers. • Compassionate Coaching: Coach team members on safe, compassionate handling, especially with anxious pets, as well as customer interactions and best practices for bathing and grooming services. • Efficiency and Safety: Guide groomers in improving their daily pace and efficiency while maintaining pet safety and comfort as the top priority. • SOPs and Standards: Help implement Standard Operating Procedures, sharing best practices regarding grooming tools, equipment care, and strict salon sanitation standards. • Paperwork and Tracking: Manage the administrative side of training by documenting accurate records of the skills demonstrated and achieved by each team member. • Recruitment Support: Assist management with the evaluation and recruitment of incoming bathers and junior grooming candidates, along with other duties as assigned by the management team.Who is the ideal fit? You have likely spent 10 or so years at the table. Maybe you ran your own salon, or maybe you still compete. You love dogs, and animals as a whole, and have experience in grooming not just dogs but other pets such as cats. You love teaching the next generation and want to stay connected to the craft, but you are ready to step away from the daily grind of a full-time book.Compensation Rate Range: $28 to $40 per project hour, depending on experience.Investing in our people is how we build a business we're proud of, and it's a core value we share with the entire Woofies and Authority Brands family.Qualifications • Grooming Expertise: Proficient in advanced pet grooming techniques, coat work, breed standards, proper tool usage, and maintaining a sanitized, safe mobile environment. • Mentoring & Training: Strong mentoring abilities to coach grooming staff on styling techniques, industry best practices, and safety measures. • Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional grooming expertise (7-10 years preferred), with 1 or more years of experience teaching or mentoring groomers highly preferable. • Customer Service & Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members effectively and address client needs with professionalism. • Collaboration & Care: Ability to work collaboratively within a mobile team environment and maintain a high standard of pet care.• Education & Certifications: Certification or formal training from a pet grooming school is essential. • Environment Match: Prior experience in a luxury or boutique pet care environment is an added advantage. • Location Requirement: Must be located within driving distance of Annapolis, Maryland for on-site training sessions.How to ApplySince this exclusive position is not yet listed on traditional job boards, please apply directly by emailing your resume or background to annapolishq@woofies.com or by sending a direct message to franchise owner Conrad Manlapaz.
