Addictions Counselor
Location: Forest Park at 680 Northland Boulevard Cincinnati, Ohio 45240Summary/ObjectiveThe Addictions Counselor will be responsible for providing counseling and support to individuals struggling with addiction. The counselor will work with clients to develop treatment plans, provide individual and group therapy, and monitor progress towards recovery goals. The counselor will also work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care.Essential FunctionsConduct assessments to determine the nature and extent of addictionDevelop individualized treatment plans for clientsProvide individual and group therapy sessionsMonitor progress towards recovery goalsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive careMaintain accurate and up-to-date client recordsStay current with developments in addiction treatment and counselingMaintain patient records and produce timely documentation of services rendered.Maintain contacts and/or referrals with clinicians in the community and inform them of the patient’s progress. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkWork hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.TravelNo travel required for this position.Required Education And ExperienceCertification as an Addictions Counselor, Minimum CDCA, LCDC, LSW, LPC or higher.
