Director of Culinary Enablement

The Director of Culinary Enablement works directly with the Restaura culinary team and kitchen brigade to support ingredient strategy, recipe development, restaurant menu concepts, and training/inspecting culinary standards. Manages accurate recipe documentation and compliance with culinary standards, including maintaining the Restaura pantry list, recipe collection, and menu concepts. Liaison between Restaura and enterprise supply chain management department; responsible for growing our responsibly sourced and local procurement in alignment with brand values and culinary commitments. This is an On-site position, at our location in Waltham, MA. Key Responsibilities: Develop, edit, and maintain recipes within culinary databases, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established culinary standards. Support culinary leadership by implementing new recipe processes, procedures, and ingredient updates tied to enterprise initiatives and SKU optimization. Manage global ingredient and recipe changes, including sourcing new ingredient forms and entering ingredient specifications into the system. Ensure all recipes are operationally sound—validated for preparation methods, yields, and field execution feasibility. Create and maintain menu and recipe execution tools, including MTO sorters, SOP videos, recipe cards, and other field resources. Maintain comprehensive documentation for recipe development, including scanning and organizing finalized recipes for digital record-keeping. Assist with planning and facilitating development team presentations, ideation sessions, vendor demonstrations, and product cuttings. Scale vendor recipes and adjust formulations as needed for systemwide deployment. Coordinate monthly calls with internal stakeholder groups to ensure alignment on culinary initiatives. Manage field inquiries and feedback related to recipes, ingredients, and execution through designated portals and communication channels. Tag and organize recipes within the menu management system and maintain Restaura menu constructs based on direction from culinary leadership. Support culinary training efforts for Restaura, including onboarding new culinary talent and assisting newly activated field locations. Lead or support the development, scaling, deployment, and ongoing liaison responsibilities for the Galley platform across Restaura operations. Act as a liaison between client partner sites and supply chain to develop relationships with farmers, ranchers, and producers—advancing responsible, local, and values-aligned sourcing initiatives (e.g., whole animal purchasing, certified programs, food hubs, M/WBE, BIPOC). Travel periodically to client partner sites to support culinary operations, training, and relationship development as directed by Restaura leadership. Utilize workflow management tools to organize, track, and prioritize responsibilities effectively. Job Requirements Prior administrative experience is preferred. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including (but not limited to) Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Position requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 25 pounds. Position requires frequent repetitive motion of hands and/or arms.
