Commercial Property AccountantDallas, TX Onsite - FulltimeResponsibilities:Provide leadership and oversight for all Commercial property accounting functions, including rent processing, payables, and financial reporting.Review and approve monthly reports, bank reconciliations and financial analyses prepared by the Property Accounting Managers.Ensure accurate compilation, analysis and reconciliation of NNN charges and tenant accounting files.Guide the Property Accounting Managers in tenant communication regarding rent escalations, defaults and reconciliation matters.Collaborate with the Property Management Department to align accounting processes with operational needs.Maintain compliance with local, state and federal accounting regulations, including property tax and escrow management.Oversee budget preparation and ensure accuracy based on prior year financials and projections.Provide strategic insight on financial performance and areas for process improvement.Mentor Accounting Managers, fostering professional growth and effective collaboration.Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Evaluate and optimize accounting software usage, ensuring maximum functionality for property management.Represent the accounting team in internal and external audits.Perform other related duties as necessary.
