Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Ensures the effective and efficient movement of outgoing orders. Ensures the effective and efficient movementof incoming materials and supplies. Communicating effectively, works as a member of a team to ship, receive andprocess items that are used in the manufacture or assembly of product in a thorough, accurate and rapid-response manner.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Include Ensures accurate address. Required shipment paperwork; shipment data, transportation method, transportation space and shippingcharges. Assembles orders, prepares goods for shipment to include building boxes and crates. Relies on instructions, pre-established guidelines and adheres to practice, policy and procedure ofthe assigned location to perform the functions of the job. Completes shipping and receiving reports. Ensures all documentation is in order and entered into the appropriate tracking mechanism. Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes. Identifying the items with the appropriate information. Use forklift, pallet jacks, cranes and other material handling equipment to safely move items/productin and around the assigned facility. Assist employees with the safe retrieval and handling of WIP, finished goods, materials and other itemsthat are used in daily operation. Maintain supplies and equipment used in daily activities at the assigned facility. Operates saw to saw material for manufacturing. Operate vehicles such as pickup truck and/or flatbed truck to transport materials, machinery, products,etc as needed. May be required to maintain an accurate and orderly inventory of WIP, finished goods, and materialsincluding proper identification and protection of these items. Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested by management.Additional Responsibilities And Duties May Be Assigned.Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:High School Diploma or GED,0-3 years of experience performing shipping and receiving duties in a manufacturingfacility. Able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely to moveproduct in and around the assigned facility. Able to operate vehicels with either automatic or manual transmissions.Other Attention to detail Ability to multi-task Able to read, write, and speak English effectively.This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment: Work schedule generally consists of 40+ hours per week, which may include overtime, on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. regularly.
