Manufacturing Engineering Tech - 1st Shift
Responsible for the entire production process of Aluminum Die Cast production. Strong Process Engineering skills are vital to success. Understanding of both the theory and implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques is required. Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new products.*Establish manufacturing engineering goals to support the improvement of cost, quality (scrap), delivery, safety and asset utilization as they relate to Die Cast.Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives in Die Cast.Develop and document new and current Die Cast cell processes.Provide timely performance feedback to technical team.Approve procedures documented in PIM books and process controls for accuracy.Review scrap and internal defects utilizing MRB data. Coordinate "run at rate" and PPAP production runs.Assist in the development and implementation of corrective action procedures as identified by the Quality Leader.Monitor and sustain performance on existing jobs.Develop facility layouts to optimize flow and use of space.*Academic Requirements** BS in a manufacturing related field.*Five to Seven years-experience in Engineering function.CAD/CAM experience a plus.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Ergonomics.Clear understanding of QS Quality Standards and procedures.Project planning, documentation and execution skills.Knowledge of Die Cast Process and Equipment.Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, etc.Safety, Health, and Environmental*Follow the Health, Safety and Environmental Program as reflected in the Health and Safety Policy Statement as well as the Environmental Management System (EMS).Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality PolicyOffice environment at workstationTypical manufacturing environment when on shop floorElevated temperatures near ovens and in summerProximity to moving equipmentThis position does not qualify to work remotelyWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock.Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.*Employee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Drug, Dental & Vision etc.Community based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.Discounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.*Linamar Corporation is a Canadian-founded global manufacturer, renowned for its advanced engineering and innovative product development across diverse industries and markets.
