OVERVIEW: Transports inbound and outbound material or freight to and from warehouses, storage areas, and freight vehicles using forklift, pallet jack, and manual methods. Verifies accuracy and performs data entry for inbound and outbound material. RESPONSIBILITIES: Stores material in warehouse locations when received. Checks inbound freight against shipping manifests or purchase orders to verify accuracy. Receives inbound material within SAP using purchase order data. Unloads inbound trailers carrying interplant and external freight using forklift, pallet jack or manual methods. Verifies accuracy and performs data entry for incoming and outgoing stock transport orders. Picks material from warehouse locations for customer orders, stock transport orders and warehouse replenishment. Loads outbound shipments into trailers using forklift, jack pallet or manual methods. Performs data entry as it relates to inventory material transactions. Verifies and tracks the accuracy of inventory in assigned locations. Participates in Lean and 5S activities within warehouse. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Possesses effective oral and written communications skills. Computer literate with working knowledge of SAP inventory control applications, sufficient to complete shipping/receiving and inventory management transactions. Achieved company forklift operator certification. Demonstrated safe driver record. Ability to achieve and maintain situational awareness to ensure safe handling and transportation of material. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jack systems to manipulate inventory. Ability to understand and apply workplace safety procedures. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a team environment. Ability to exercise initiative and complete assignments efficiently and on time with minimal supervision. Readily perceives and effectively responds to details essential to inventory control. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Vision sufficient to perform essential job functions in a safe manner. Ability to work overtime, as requested.
