The engineer will work on backend-heavy full stack development, contributing to AI-driven solutions and rules-based platforms. The position requires strong hands-on coding ability, independent ownership of modules, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement scalable software solutions using Java and/or PythonWrite production-level code daily (approximately 80% hands-on development)Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into engineering solutionsCollaborate with stakeholders to define and refine system functionalitySupport migration efforts related to data center exit initiativesContribute to fraud detection and AI-driven engineering use casesUtilize internal AI tools to enhance development productivity and solution qualityOwn and deliver medium-sized modules independently while guiding supporting contributorsTroubleshoot and resolve issues, including participation in occasional production incident supportRequired Qualifications8+ years of software engineering experienceStrong experience with:Java (full stack with backend focus)PythonHands-on experience with containerization technologies:DockerKubernetesProven ability to write and deliver production-level codeExperience working in complex, large-scale engineering environmentsAbility to work independently and take ownership of deliverablesPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)MongoDB experienceCloud certifications (GCP, AWS, or equivalent)Strong expertise in either Java or Python (deep specialization acceptable)Additional NotesRole is highly hands-on; candidates must demonstrate real coding experience (not theoretical)No people management responsibilitiesEngineers should be capable of mentoring or guiding small groups when neededOccasional after-hours support may be required for production incidents
