Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a mid level software integration engineer who shall be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and operational support of the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) component of the CASA Compute Environment (CCE). The CCE provides secure, multi-tenant, high-performance, and highly available Kubernetes clusters operating within a Linux-based infrastructure. Tasking shall ensure platform reliability, scalability, security compliance, and optimal cluster performance in support of mission and application requirements.RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field at least six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.Hold a Security+ CertificationRequired Skills:Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of toolsExperience developing scripts using Bash/PythonExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker/PodmanDemonstrated experience administrating and monitoring Kubernetes clustersExperience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads (ingress, performance, networking, storage, etc.)Experience with IaC principles, concepts, and methodologies using automation tools including AnsibleExperience writing, deploying, and maintaining Helm ChartsExperience using Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaborationDesired Skills:Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)Experience working in a DevOps environment that uses Agile principles and methodologiesExperience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus /GrafanaExperience with or willingness to learn development of Python applications (REST services, microservices, etc.)CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)This position is open for direct hires only.
