CNC Setup Machinist (day/swing/ weekend shifts)

Job Description Our team is looking for skilled CNC Set up Machinist!Day ShiftSwing ShiftWeekend ShiftResponsibilities:Sets up all 2 and 3 axis machining jobs on Vertical, Horizontal, or Turning centersChanges feeds, speeds, and makes other basic G-code edits as necessary, and reports changes to programmer or supervisorTrouble-shoots machining defects (dimensional or surface finish) and either corrects or recommends correction as appropriateDesigns and builds simple machining fixtures (e.g. soft jaws, custom plates)Observes and evaluates tool wear, makes recommendations for alternate tooling typesInspects any features except 3D surfacesProvides training guidance to lower skilled machinistsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent5+ years experience with CNC Set up and operatorKnowledge of one of the following CNC controls: Fanuc, Mazak and HaasMust have G-Code experienceDemonstrated working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD &T)Strong tooling experience (calipers, micrometer, height gage, pin gages, thread gages)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawingsCompany DescriptionFor over 30 years, clients and candidates have entrusted AtWork to provide workforce solutions nationwide.
