Prep Cook - Senior Community
Schedule: 10am-6:30pm
To prepare food for service according to menu plans and standardized recipes in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrates the ability to work in a kitchen where large quantities of food are prepared
Exhibits a caring and patient behavior towards residents
Monitors inventory control and supplies
Demonstrates the ability to use kitchen equipment
Demonstrates the ability to use general cleaning equipment and materials
Possess the ability to function as a team member
Prepares and portions food items as designated
Responsible for setting up the service line for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as preparing and serving meals to all residents.
Prepares food so that it is ready for service at a specified time.
Serves food in an efficient, timely and accurate manner during all meal periods.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write and understand English language
Possess simple mathematical calculations; add, subtract, multiply and divide
Excellent team work skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Familiar with Health Department Regulations
Previous experience working with the senior population preferred
Strong background in food production and line serving
Experience
Minimum 3 years working in the food service industry Restaurant line cook experience preferred
Pay Range: $17.97 - $21.00 per hour
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
