Senior Embedded Software Engineer III / IVBurbank, CA | Onsite | Direct HireCompensation: $132,000–$191,000A leading aerospace technology organization is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support the design, development, verification, and certification of safety-critical software used in advanced aircraft systems.This is a strong opportunity for an experienced embedded engineer who wants to work on complex, high-reliability products that directly support aircraft performance and safety.What You’ll Be DoingDevelop and maintain embedded software for commercial and military aerospace applications.Translate system and customer requirements into reliable software designs and code.Perform software development and verification activities in accordance with DO-178B/C guidelines.Build and test embedded applications using C and C++.Support requirements traceability from customer specifications through implementation and verification.Participate in software architecture, detailed design, coding, debugging, integration, and certification activities.Review code, test results, requirements, and verification artifacts for compliance with engineering standards.Troubleshoot issues involving real-time execution, target hardware, peripheral interfaces, and software-hardware integration.Create technical documentation, test procedures, reports, and certification evidence.Collaborate with systems, electrical, hardware, quality, manufacturing, and program teams.Support continuous improvement efforts across engineering and product development processes.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.5–8+ years of relevant embedded software engineering experience.Strong experience with Embedded C/C++.Working knowledge of DO-178B/C software development and verification.Experience with Ansys SCADE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar model-based development tools.Experience managing requirements with IBM DOORS or a comparable platform.Familiarity with software verification, validation, structural coverage, and requirements traceability.Experience with tools such as LDRA, CodeTest, VectorCAST, or similar software quality platforms.Knowledge of aerospace communication protocols such as ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232, or AFDX.Experience with embedded simulators, emulators, configuration management, and problem-tracking tools.CompensationSoftware Engineer III: $132,000–$162,800Software Engineer IV: $159,000–$191,000The final level and compensation will be based on experience and technical qualifications.Additional DetailsOnsite position in Burbank, CaliforniaUp to 10% travelComprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysEducation reimbursementApplicants must be eligible to access information controlled under U.S. export regulations, including ITAR requirements.
