Benefits Consultant

A leading national consulting and insurance advisory firm is seeking a Benefits Consultant to manage and retain a book of employee benefits clients while delivering strategic guidance and exceptional service. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven benefits professional who enjoys consulting with leadership teams, designing benefit strategies, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.Prior employee benefits consulting experience is required.The Job:Develop and execute sophisticated benefit design and renewal strategies for employer clientsLead financial analysis, benchmarking, plan modeling, and renewal negotiationsPartner closely with account management and client service teams throughout the renewal and implementation processCoordinate timelines, strategy meetings, RFPs, open enrollment planning, and post-renewal analysisServe as the primary strategic advisor to clients and effectively communicate industry trends and market updatesMaintain accountability for client profitability, project timelines, and overall client satisfactionOversee onboarding and implementation for new clients in collaboration with internal service teamsIdentify opportunities to expand client relationships through cross-selling additional services and solutionsBuild and maintain strong carrier and vendor relationships to support client benefit strategiesEnsure compliance knowledge remains current regarding HIPAA, ERISA, PPACA, Section 125, and related regulationsMaintain accurate and up-to-date client information within CRM systemsWhat We’re Looking For:3+ years of employee benefits consulting experienceValid Life & Health insurance license requiredStrong understanding of health and ancillary insurance products, funding arrangements, and market trendsPractical experience with the quoting process, benchmarking, and benefits strategy developmentAbility to effectively interact with C-suite executives and senior decision-makersStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated professional with strong client relationship management abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with CRM/database systemsBachelor’s degree preferredThe Company:Industry Leader: One of the nation’s leading employee benefits and insurance advisory organizations serving over 100,000 employersPeople-First Culture: Organization focused on improving employee wellbeing and delivering meaningful client partnershipsComprehensive Solutions: Offers integrated health, pharmacy, disability, dental, vision, and technology-driven consulting servicesCollaborative Environment: Team-oriented culture with strong internal support and professional development opportunitiesGrowth Opportunity: Continued expansion creates long-term career advancement potential for high-performing consultantsInnovative Approach: Combines strategic consulting with advanced tools, technology, and personalized client serviceIf interested, apply, and MGA would be happy to have a quick call to learn more about your background and share all of the details about this opportunity.
