Senior Robotics Engineer – Planning, Optimization & AIAbout the RoleA fast‑growing industrial AI and robotics company is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to work on the algorithmic core of a cloud‑based multi‑robot planning and optimization platform.This role is focused on improving the performance, reliability, and capabilities of advanced robotics algorithms that enable automated design and optimization of multi‑robot workcells. You’ll play a key role in shaping core technology used to solve real‑world industrial automation challenges, working at the intersection of planning, optimization, and AI.The position blends strong theoretical robotics foundations with production‑grade software engineering and offers exposure to both product development and novel research.What You’ll DoWork closely with a team of robotics engineers to solve real‑world automation problems using planning, optimization, and AI methodsDesign and implement efficient algorithms and solvers tailored to robotics applicationsContribute to and extend a core optimization framework for robotic manipulators and multi‑robot systemsApply advanced techniques in motion planning, trajectory optimization, and task allocationSupport field and customer‑facing teams in solving complex automation challengesHelp identify new capabilities and contribute to feature development in a fast‑paced technology environmentBalance research‑driven work with production‑quality software deliveryRequired QualificationsStrong proficiency in robotics algorithms, with experience across multiple areas such as:Forward and inverse kinematicsSampling‑based motion planningTrajectory optimizationMulti‑robot planningTask schedulingMachine learning for manipulationDynamic model identification2+ years of professional C++ development experienceStrong software engineering practices, including version control, testing, and Linux‑based developmentMS degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAdditional RequirementsAbility to work in a hybrid, in‑office environment (~50% on‑site)Comfortable collaborating in international, cross‑functional teamsSelf‑driven, with the ability to solve open‑ended and technically challenging problemsMotivated by working in a fast‑moving startup or growth‑stage environmentLocationHybrid Options include on‑site collaboration in Boston, MA
