*Job Summary* Join our dynamic team as a Locksmith Apprentice and embark on an exciting journey to develop your skills in lock and security systems. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of locking mechanisms, security hardware, and electronic access controls. Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, you will learn to interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and gain valuable knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics related to security systems. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a career in locksmithing and security technology. *Responsibilities* * Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical locks, electronic access controls, and security hardware across various facilities * Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to support installation and troubleshooting tasks * Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electronic lock systems * Support the inspection and servicing of heavy equipment involved in security system maintenance * Learn to diagnose mechanical issues with locks and related hardware, applying mechanical knowledge effectively * Participate in routine maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks to ensure optimal functioning of security systems * Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical components and heavy equipment *Requirements* * Strong interest in locksmithing, security systems, or related technical fields * Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with mechanical systems or heavy equipment mechanics is preferred * Familiarity with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters or multimeters is a plus * Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately * Technical proficiency with tools used in maintenance and repair tasks * Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail when troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues * Willingness to learn new skills quickly and work effectively under supervision This paid apprenticeship provides a comprehensive foundation for aspiring locksmiths by combining practical experience with technical training.
