Quality Control Supervisor

About the RoleStack Street Coffee is a rapidly growing coffee manufacturing and distribution company operating multiple production lines and producing millions of units annually across a range of formats. We serve major retailers, national brands, and DTC partners nationwide.We are looking for a Quality Control Supervisor (1st and 2nd shift) to own and implement product quality across production, enforce standards on the floor, and ensure consistency at scale.This is a hands-on role on the production floor, not a desk-based QA position. You will work directly within production to monitor quality in real time, hold standards under pressure, and ensure every product meets spec before it leaves the facility.At Stack Street Coffee, we operate with high standards and high accountability. We expect our team to take ownership, solve problems proactively, and hold the line on quality even when production is under pressure. Mission of the RoleBuild and run the systems that ensure:every product meets defined quality and food safety standardsissues are identified and corrected before products reach customersproduction teams follow consistent, repeatable processesquality issues are identified once and do not repeatquality scales with production volume without degradationYou are responsible for making quality a controlled, predictable system — not a reactive function. What You OwnYou will own the execution of quality control and food safety across production, including:In-process and finished product quality checks across all production linesEnforcement of GMP, HACCP, and BRCGS (or equivalent) standards on the production floorReal-time monitoring of production to identify and address quality issues immediatelyAuthority to stop, adjust, or escalate production when quality standards are not metExecution and oversight of quality testing (oxygen, brew, weight, seal integrity, sensory)Ownership of QC holds, including investigation, disposition, and release decisionsRoot cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to eliminate repeat issuesBatch documentation, traceability, and quality recordsIncoming material and packaging quality verification and approvalDaily facility audits for GMP, cleanliness, and food safety complianceMaintenance of SOPs, SSOPs, COAs, and quality documentation systemsSupport of third-party, regulatory, and customer audits (including BRCGS)Equipment calibration verification and coordination to ensure measurement accuracyEnvironmental monitoring and swabbing programsTraining production staff on quality standards, procedures, and expectationsContinuous improvement of quality systems as production volume and complexity increaseYou will have operational authority over product quality on the production floor. What Success Looks LikeProduct quality is consistent across batches, SKUs, and production linesIssues are caught before products reach customersProduction does not continue when quality is out of specQuality issues are identified once and do not repeatQC processes are followed consistently across all shiftsCustomer complaints related to quality are minimal and decreasingAudit readiness is maintained at all timesKey metrics include:Defect rate / customer complaintsFirst-pass quality rateRework and waste tied to quality issuesBatch consistencyAudit performance (internal and external)Time to identify and resolve quality issues Ideal BackgroundWe are looking for someone who has owned quality control in a manufacturing environment, ideally in:food or beverage manufacturingconsumer packaged goodsco-manufacturing or packaging operationsTypical prior titles include:Quality Control SupervisorQuality Assurance SupervisorQA/QC ManagerFood Safety / Quality Supervisor Requirements3+ years of experience in food safety or quality in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems (BRCGS or SQF preferred)HACCP certification required; PCQI preferredExperience working directly on the production floor in a hands-on roleExperience with lot traceability and inventory/ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce standards consistently What We ValueOwnership mindset and accountability for outcomesWillingness to enforce standards, even under production pressureStrong attention to detail and consistencyAbility to identify problems quickly and take actionComfort operating hands-on in a fast-paced production environment Benefits include:    • Health insurance    • Dental and vision coverage (Q2 2026 planned)    • Paid time off    • 401(k) with company match
