Background Investigation: All candidates and employees may be subject to a background investigation.Summary of FunctionsThe Facilities and Safety Manager is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and operational efficiency of the Camas Health Recovery Center. This role oversees the Safety Team and Medical Clinic Custodians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, facility maintenance, and effective operations to create a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The Facilities and Safety Manager reports directly to the Clinic Administrator and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support the clinic's mission and objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Facilities ManagementOversee the daily operations and maintenance of clinic facilities, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and compliance with healthcare standards.Develop and implement facility management policies, procedures, and schedules for preventive maintenance.Manage vendor relationships, including contractors for repairs, maintenance, and service agreements.Conduct regular inspections of the clinic premises to identify and address issues promptly.Oversee inventory management and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.Safety and Security ManagementLead the Safety Team to ensure a secure and safe environment for all clinic staff, patients, and visitors.Develop and enforce safety protocols, emergency response plans, and training programs.Conduct regular safety audits and drills to ensure preparedness for emergencies.Investigate safety incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions.Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other relevant standards.Leadership and Team ManagementSupervise, train, and evaluate the Safety Team and Medical Clinic Custodians to maintain high performance and adherence to standards.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration within the team.Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members.Develop and manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing for safety and custodial operations.Budget and ReportingPrepare and manage budgets related to facilities and safety operations.Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.Generate and present regular reports on facility conditions, safety incidents, and operational performance to the Clinic Administrator.Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Occupational Safety, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, safety operations, or a related field, preferably in a healthcare environment.At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.CertificationsCertification in Facilities Management (CFM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or similar credentials preferred.CPR and First Aid certification preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.Other RequirementsObtain and maintain a Level 3 Kalispel Tribe of Indians Work Permit.Work is primarily performed onsite at the Camas Health Recovery Center in Airway Heights, WA.Requires occasional after-hours availability for emergencies.May involve light physical activities, including facility inspections and addressing maintenance issues.Additional:Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, safety regulations, and emergency management.Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Proficiency in using facility management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.CONFLICT OF INTEREST:
