Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in a variety of settings, including acute care, ICU, and geriatric environments. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being. Duties: - Provide occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and consultations to patients of all ages and abilities. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various modalities, including physical therapy, speech therapy, and case management. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and to address the unique needs of each patient. - Utilize evidence-based practices and stay current with the latest research and trends in occupational therapy. - Participate in patient education and counseling to promote healthy habits and lifestyle changes. - Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. - Ensure compliance with departmental and facility policies, as well as relevant laws and regulations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. - Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice. - Experience working in acute care, ICU, or geriatric settings, with a strong understanding of patient care and physiology knowledge. - Familiarity with case management and the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. - Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and the ability to collaborate with speech therapists as needed. - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
