You will act as the primary technical point of contact and subject matter expert for your assigned systems, driving their continuous operability and ensuring their integrity for the safeguarding of our nation's nuclear deterrent.Your Main Job Duties Will IncludeSystem Ownership and Configuration Management: You will be the system owner for assigned electrical systems (e.g., emergency lighting, communications, warning systems, grounding networks, lightning protection, and electrical distribution), overseeing all changes, troubleshooting, and inquiries. This involves coordinating closely with the Configuration Management program, preparing configuration control/design change packages, and evaluating the impact of proposed modifications on approved safety authorization bases for facilities.Technical Authority and Troubleshooting: You will serve as the subject matter expert and technical authority for your systems, providing plant system operability and maintenance activities for High Explosives and other critical facilities. This includes performing troubleshooting and improvement activities, overseeing craft workers during repairs, suggesting modifications to enhance system performance, and applying your expertise to resolve technical system and equipment issues in cooperation with other related disciplines.Engineering Analysis and Design Support: You will apply your electrical engineering expertise to provide self-performed technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems through the application of established engineering practices, codes, and standards. This also entails reviewing and analyzing technical documentation such as conduit/cable schedules, conduit/equipment plans, one-line diagrams, wiring/connection/schematic diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, various sections/elevations/details, calculations, datasheets, and construction specifications.We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in facility or industrial plant systems, ideally with prior experience as a system owner.
