SQL Database Developer with Big Data tech

Main work will be handling transformation from RDBMS MS SQL to Big Data Existing Tech Stack - MS SQL Product Suite Moving Toward Big Data - main technologies are Airflow and Hadoop, but others are listed on the req. HM said strong candidates will likely know most of the Big Data technologies Needs candidates who know both the existing and new tech stack. Strong foundation of MS SQL, significant experience in the Big Data technologies listed on the role 10+ years of experience. Will likely need this much experience to know both tech stacks for the migration Scala and a few other technologies like Pyspark and SparkSQL Significant 8-10 years of experience in Microsoft SQL programming and development, including SSMS, SSRS, SSAS, and CUBE (Star Schema). o Ability to design, lead and implement migration of legacy database tech to scalable, high-performance data platforms using technologies such as Airflow, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, and Snowflake. o Programming skills in languages like Scala/ Pyspark/SparkSQL. Required Skills and Experience we are Looking For: Technical Expertise: o Significant 8-10 years of experience in Microsoft SQL programming and development, including SSMS, SSRS, SSAS, and CUBE (Star Schema). o Ability to design, lead and implement migration of legacy database tech to scalable, high-performance data platforms using technologies such as Airflow, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, and Snowflake. o Programming skills in languages like Scala/ Pyspark/SparkSQL. o Experience in deep data analysis, triaging, identifying data gaps, patterns, and behaviors to support enhancements and user requests. o Experience working with large data sets (~100 million records) and optimizing performance for scalability. o Expertise in developing and managing data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of data from various sources. o Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in modernized database environments. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with enterprise data strategy and understand business requirements. o Communicate complex data concepts and architectural designs to both technical and non-technical audiences. o Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of database changes. o Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in both traditional databases and big data. Qualifications: o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. o Extensive experience (minimum 8-10 years) in data architecture, database design, or data engineering roles, with a focus on big data. o Experience working with large-scale data projects, preferably within the financial services industry. Looking for a candidate who is proficient with MicroStrategy tool, along with Oracle, java and python experience to help with migration of reports to separate Oracle DB, ongoing enhancements to the reports and L3 production support as and when needed Role – Software Engineer/Developer Skills – MicroStrategy, Oracle DB, SQL, Python and Java (OOP) Candidate Requirements – Bachelors Degree or relevant 6-10 years of experience in software development with 3+ years in MicroStrategy Be able to work in a team with members located globally.
