DevOps Engineer

Position: DevOps Engineer Type: ContractLocation: Houston TXJob Description:We are seeking a well-rounded DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Windows environments and proven expertise in PowerShell scripting, DSC (Desired State Configuration), and system administration. The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing pipelines, handling firewall configurations, and understanding network ports for optimized system performance.  Key Responsibilities:·        Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.·        Automate system configuration and management using PowerShell and Desired State Configuration (DSC).·        Perform Windows system administration, including patch management, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and backups.·        Configure and manage firewalls, ensuring the proper handling of network ports and securing the environment.·        Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth deployment and high availability of applications.·        Monitor and improve infrastructure performance and scalability using automation tools.·        Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices for secure system operations.·        Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues in real-time to minimize downtime.·        Maintain documentation on processes, configurations, and architecture to support operational continuity.Qualifications:·        Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation tools like DSC.·        Hands-on experience with Windows System Administration including server management, configuration, and performance tuning.·        Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.·        Knowledge of networking concepts including firewall configurations and managing ports for optimal security and performance.·        Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and infrastructure as code (IAC) practices.·        Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.·        Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.Preferred Skills:·        Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.·        Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.·        Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana. Anurag Pratap SinghPrimus Global ServicesDirect- 972 798 2625apsingh@primusglobal.com
