Mid Level Software Engineer

Hybrid 3 days onsite in Rockville, MD Our client is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with hands-on Generative AI experience to join our growing engineering team. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2Responsibilities: Build and scale full-stack applications using Angular, Java/Spring Boot, and Python/FastAPIDevelop secure APIs (REST & GraphQL) and responsive frontend experiencesDesign and implement Generative AI solutions (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines)Work with cloud-native technologies on AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, etc.)Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated testingCollaborate cross-functionally with data, security, and business teamsSkillset: 5–7 years of software engineering experienceStrong skills in Java and/or PythonExperience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS (3+ years)Hands-on experience with AWS and microservices architectureExperience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI integrationsSolid understanding of APIs, databases (SQL & NoSQL), and security best practicesNice to Have Skills:Experience in financial services or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or RAG architecturesExperience with event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS, etc.)Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch)Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
