Controls Engineer III | Onsite | Charlotte, NCWhat You'll DoLead electrical controls for manufacturing improvement and capital projects.Design, develop, and deploy automation systems using PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related technologies.Define control architectures, specifications, and integration requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, facilities, IT, and operations.Provide technical guidance to contractors, system integrators, and project teams.Review controls deliverables, troubleshoot system issues, and support startup and commissioning activities.Support training and technology transfer to plant teams.Required EducationWhat We Need From YouBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.Required Experience7+ years of controls engineering experience.Experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, primarily Rockwell.Experience with FT View, Optix, Ignition, Ethernet/IP, and EtherCAT.Proven experience as a Controls Engineer.Required SkillsPID control implementation.Rockwell PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming expertise.Machine and process automation system design and integration.Electrical panel design, schematics, ladder logic programming, testing, and troubleshooting.AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.PLC and IEC programming (ladder logic, function blocks, structured text).Machine Safety Design principles (ISO 13849-1 & 2).Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.A Few Things to KnowOccasional travel to supplier or vendor locations may be required for equipment check-out prior to shipmentSchedule flexibility is required and may include weekends, holidays, or extended days during installation and start-up activitiesInterview Process: 30 minute 1st round teams interview, then 60 min panel interview. Local candidates will be asked to come onsite for 2nd round interview.Non-local candidates willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered.
