Osborne's is known as a trusted, refined boutique where fine jewelry celebrates love, legacy, and meaningful life moments with intention and elegance.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fine Jewelry Consultant role based in Athens, AL. The Fine Jewelry Consultant will welcome clients, listen to their needs, take in jewelry repairs, and guide them through selecting engagement rings, fine jewelry, and special occasion pieces while providing an elevated in-store experience. Daily responsibilities include presenting product options, explaining gemstone and metal characteristics, handling basic jewelry care discussions, and supporting custom or heirloom design conversations in partnership with the jeweler. The role also involves processing sales, maintaining accurate records, assisting with inventory presentation, and ensuring displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing. The consultant will follow store service standards, contribute to store goals, and collaborate with team members to support events, trunk shows, and promotional activities.QualificationsStrong interpersonal and Communication skills, including active listening and clear, professional conversation with clients and team members.Customer Service and Customer Experience skills, with a focus on building trust, handling concerns thoughtfully, and creating a warm, welcoming environment.Retail Sales experience, including consultative selling, add-on recommendations, and comfort working toward individual and store sales goals.Interest or experience in Jewelry Design or fine jewelry, including basic knowledge of gemstones, metals, and styles, or a willingness to learn quickly.Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity when handling high-value merchandise and confidential client information.Ability to evaluate a piece of jewelry and determine what repairs are needed and look up the correct price for repairs. Ability to stand for extended periods and work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and peak holiday seasons.Prior experience in jewelry, luxury retail, or boutique sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
