A pharmacy location in Plattsburgh, NY, is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join their direct hire team. This role offers a variable schedule with evening shifts required at times, typically following a 4x10 or 4x12 schedule (e.g., 8am-8pm).Key Responsibilities:Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.Ensure pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.Oversee all pharmacy department operations, including budget management, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control.Engage in business development activities within the store and community.Manage pharmacy support personnel, including job performance evaluations and training.Provide guidance and training to pharmacy associates while ensuring adherence to regulatory and company policies.Ensure completion of all mandatory company training for pharmacy staff.Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.Counsel patients and medical providers on drug use, dosage, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient progress for optimal therapy outcomes.Maintain continuous quality improvement programs focused on patient safety.Exercise professional judgment to deliver exemplary pharmaceutical services within the pharmacist's scope of practice.Maintain a clean, organized workstation and pharmacy department in accordance with legal and company standards.Complete continuing education as required by state law.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
