Azure Data / Databricks Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Azure Data / Databricks Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.This role will focus on designing and modernizing cloud-based data solutions that support critical business and operational decision-making. The engineer will work across data engineering, platform delivery, and integration efforts to help ensure secure, reliable, and well-governed data availability. This position partners closely with business, BI, and technical teams to deliver scalable pipelines and analytics-ready data sets.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $195,000 – $210,000 annuallyResponsibilities Design and implement ingestion, transformation, and data-quality pipelines using Azure tools Migrate and modernize Oracle data workloads, ensuring security and performance Develop medallion-style data models and operational support practices Collaborate with business and BI teams on data sets and Power BI integration Implement secure identity, network, storage, and access patterns in Azure environments Document pipeline operations and support handoff materialsQualifications 5+ years in data engineering, ETL/ELT, or analytics-platform delivery Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, SQL, and Python Experience migrating relational or Oracle data workloads to cloud platforms Knowledge of data modeling, data quality, reconciliation, and monitoring Strong problem-solving and stakeholder-communication skillsBenefits Support for career growth through diverse project opportunities Collaboration with cross-functional teams on mission-critical initiatives Mentorship and networking opportunities within the organization Engagement with executive leadership on strategic initiatives Opportunity to present thought leadership and innovations in technologyOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
