You will partner closely with Development, Engineering, PreConstruction, Delivery, Legal, and ENGIE Group to optimize commercial outcomes, ensure reliable supply, and advance ENGIE's longterm renewable energy goals.Responsibilities in this role:Strategic Supply LeadershipGuide sourcing strategy and supply planning across NORAM RF GBU, ensuring alignment with ENGIE's global procurement frameworkOptimize Solar & BESS assets prior to NTP through strategic commercial and technical decisionmakingLead OEM identification, qualification, bidding processes, contracting, and relationship developmentCommercial & CAPEX OwnershipOwn indicative, budgetary, and contractual CAPEX inputs across the portfolioAlign scope, schedule, technology selections, and pricing assumptions with crossfunctional teamsProvide key input for Investment Notes and Development Notes supporting project investment decisionsContracting & NegotiationsLead RFP structuring, negotiation strategies, and contract execution for equipment supplyCollaborate with Development, Legal, Engineering, and EPC Project Managers to finalize commercial and contractual termsPortfolio Risk & Performance ManagementOversee a rolling portfolio of projects, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategiesDevelop cost curves, technology curves, and forecasting models to support executive decisionmakingGuide sourcing activities to maintain alignment of scopes, budgets, schedules, and supply assumptionsCrossFunctional LeadershipSupport preconstruction, engineering, and construction teams by driving procurement of longlead items and advising on contracting strategiesFacilitate effective communication between HUB procurement resources and project teamsSupplier Strategy & ComplianceOversee supplier prequalification to ensure adherence to quality, safety, environmental, and commercial standardsSupport adherence to quality, safety, environmental, and commercial standards.Technology & Market ExpertiseLeverage deep industry knowledge to adapt sourcing strategies across multiple technologiesMaintain awareness of utilityscale market developments across North AmericaWhat You Will Do:Strategic Sourcing LeadershipLead sourcing strategy across Solar, Wind, BESS, and MPT/HV technologiesIdentify and qualify OEMs; oversee RFI/RFP processes, proposal evaluations, negotiations, and contract executionDevelop category strategies that align with ENGIE NA and ENGIE Group Category ManagementMonitor the supply market, analyze risks/opportunities, and maintain technology and cost curvesStrengthen ENGIE's buying power by coordinating sourcing needs across NORAM Renewables & Flexible GenerationCommercial & Contract ManagementOwn all CAPEX inputs (indicative, budgetary, and contractual) for project economicsLead commercial negotiations, contracting strategies, and longterm supplier agreementsSupport contract disputes, claims, changes, and schedule adjustments in partnership with Heads of Delivery and LegalMaintain and improve U.S. procurement templates, contracting standards, and documentationProject Lifecycle IntegrationProvide leadership across development, preconstruction, construction, and operationsAlign technical, commercial, and schedule assumptions between Development, Engineering, PreConstruction, Delivery, and SRM teamsEnsure consistency in contracting, scheduling, procurement, and project execution strategies across the portfolioSupport optimization efforts to improve project value (schedule, technology, commercial structure)Supplier Relationship & Performance ManagementBuild and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs, EPCs, and key suppliersOversee supplier qualification and ensure compliance with ENGIE's safety, quality, cost, environmental, and delivery requirementsLead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), including performance evaluation and corrective actionProactively address supply chain disruptions and develop contingency planningLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead and mentor sourcing leaders, project managers, engineers, and crossfunctional contributorsEnsure adequate staffing and resource planning to support project commitmentsFoster a collaborative, highperformance culture across HUB Procurement, ENGIE NA, and ENGIE Group stakeholdersChampion change management and continuous improvement across procurement processes and systemsWhat You'll BringEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required)Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (preferred)15+ years in the renewable energy (utilityscale preferred), industrial construction, or capital project sectorsTechnical & Commercial ExpertiseDemonstrated contract management experience with advanced knowledge of sourcing, scheduling, engineering, construction, supply chain, and logisticsFoundational knowledge of construction labor relations across the U.S. and CanadaUnderstanding of land surveying, geospatial references, aerial mapping, and coordinate systems (UTM, NAD)Tools & SystemsProficiency with Microsoft Office and key project/construction management platforms, preferably Procore and Microsoft Project OnlineLeadership & Core SkillsDemonstrated strength in analytical problemsolving, communication, stakeholder engagement, and technology applicationAbility to lead teams, influence decisionmaking, and manage crossfunctional collaboration in complex project environmentsAdditional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid in-office work policy, this role is NOT eligible for remote workingMust be available to travel by car and or by plane domestically / internationally up to 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight tripsMust possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; for usage of rental cars and driving to site locationsMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesCompensationSalary Range:$155,200 - $237,935 USD annuallyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
