Data Engineer (Backend Developer, Python)Onsite in Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA from Day 1 (Client prefer local folks)Hybrid Schedule: 3 Onsite Days (Tue, Wed, Thur) & 2 Remote Days (Mon, Fri)Long term contractDirect client opportunityNo mid layer / No Implementation partners are InvolvedJob details: Strong backend Python development with experience building and maintaining production APIs (Fast API preferred)Has built scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data orchestration systems.Proficient with SQL, relational/non-relational databases, and cloud infrastructure.Collaborates with AI and product teams on backend infrastructure, reliability, and observability.Bonus: experience building MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, supporting AI/LLM infrastructure, or working with vector databases.Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hrThe specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
