Sr. HR Generalist and Payroll Specialist
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting various HR functions, including payroll management, benefits administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human resources practices and accounting principles, ensuring compliance and efficiency within the HR department.DutiesManage payroll processing using systems such as QS1/Springbrook or Bamboo HR to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.Administer employee benefits programs and assist with enrollment processes.Maintain HRIS data integrity and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy.Support recruitment efforts by coordinating job postings, screening candidates, and facilitating interviews.Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training.Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile accounts payable and receivable related to HR functions.Utilize financial software for data entry and reporting related to payroll and benefits administration.Conduct analysis on HR metrics to support strategic decision-making.Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and maintain records in accordance with legal requirements.RequirementsProven experience in human resources or a related field is essential.Familiarity with payroll management systems such as Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian is preferred.Strong knowledge of PEBA Insurance and RetirementStrong knowledge of Empower 401kStrong knowledge of ASI FlexStrong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation.Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks is a plus.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.Effective communication skills to interact with employees at all levels within the organization.Experience in non-profit accounting or governmental accounting is advantageous but not required.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
