DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Designs, develops, tests and deploys software solutions in a focused discipline (UI, API, Mobile, Firmware, etc.). Operates in an Agile software development team, adhering to industry and company standards and architectures. Performs at a team level, contributing technical knowledge and code development in area of discipline.Midmark will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:Conducts development, testing, configuration, and deployment of software solutions (On-Premise/Cloud/Hybrid) and/or firmware components in a focused discipline (UI, IoT, API, Mobile, Firmware, etc.)Conducts hands-on, rapid prototyping and product development of software applicationsCreates and maintains technical documentation on software applicationsEnsures software applications built to meet industry and Midmark security requirementsAutomates the deployment and monitoring of software and application componentsCodes and applies automated tests where applicableResolves production availability and high-risk issues when identifiedContributes to product backlog story and task creation, along with effort forecastingDemonstrates working increments at sprint reviewsPresents and participates in software code reviewsContinuously learns and applies industry best practices on modern software delivery practicesCollaborates with cross-functional teams to accomplish project and product objectivesSECONDARY DUTIES:NoneEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field and 1-3 years of software application code development or 2-year associate degree with 2 or more years of relevant work experience.COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:Professional knowledge and programming skills to write, modify and debug softwareExhibit Agile principles and Scrum practices in delivery executionCurious, creative, logical, detail-oriented problem solversStructured software testing practices (automated & manual)Ability to effectively evaluate and methodically solve problemsAbility to work alone, as well as collaborate within a teamAbility to receive assignments and conduct appropriate work towards completion independentlyFamiliarity with behavior-driven and test-driven development integrated into the pipeline release processAbility to receive and analyze feedback from stakeholdersStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, including attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic technical environmentSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:None
