Role : Hyperion/ Essbase Developer Location : New York, US- 10019 (Onsite from Day1 ) Duration : 6 - 12 Months Job purpose · The purpose of this job is to serve as Essbase Developer to take care of development (maintenances and projects), user support and production support. · This position will also take care of any escalated incidents and perform root cause analysis of any problems that may arise out of IRs and/or proactive needs for business. Main Responsibilities · Perform coding and/or configuration changes to enhance and maintain the existing Modules, · Responsible for creating well-designed scripts, forms, reports, menus, formulas, variables, mappings, hierarchies, and other system components. · Perform analysis and review of existing code · Develop and execute unit testing on new and modified code and/or configuration changes. · Participate in the design and testing of data and metadata integrations. · Provide documentation and ensuring compliance with secure coding and source control procedures. · Assist with the review of Technical Design and preparation of Detailed Technical Specifications · Take action to troubleshoot issues · Work with business users to understand requirements and do the analysis before development · Willing to learn and support Axiom application Primary Skills Essbase - Essbase Serve Good Knowledge of in Hyperion EPM 11.x Components · Create New Applications · Data Backup process · Creating Rule Files, Calc Scripts · Performance tuning and Optimization · Data Migration · Work with Substitute variables. · Application data restore process · Application Upgrade Knowledge. · Should have good understanding for troubleshooting of application related Issues, User issues Essbase - Financial Reporting Good Understanding of · Creating New Reports using Studio · Batch Scheduling of the reports · Creating Books and generating PDF Essbase - Work Space / Shared Services Good Understanding of · Shared Services Refresh process · Creating New users and groups · Assign Provisions to the users · Backup of Artifacts · Managing Security Secondary Skills Business Objects - Universe Designer Good understanding Business Objects Universes i.e. · How universes allow users to query databases using everyday business terms · How to create universe · Populating universe structure · Define joins in a universe · Good understanding of Dimension and Measure Objects · Good understanding of how to resolve loops in a universe i.e. by using Aliases, Shortcut Joins, Contexts · Good understanding of resolving SQL traps i.e. Chasm and Fan Traps · Good understanding of using functions with objects and applying restrictions on objects. · Good understanding on managing universes including linking and applying security and creation of universes from Metadata. · Business Objects Universe Creation · Oracle SQL and PL/SQL · Business Objects Report Development · Universe Migration · Aware of BO Administration tasks like · System monitoring · Apply SAP corrections, updates and patches · Assist in system back ups · Licenses allocation · Content promotion through the landscape · Database migration · Load balancing/ Fail over · End user security configuration with SSO · Provide end to end Bobj reporting guidance and project oversight · Participate in all phases of the development of Business Objects Reports · Assist in troubleshooting and fine-tuning the Business Objects environment Performance Goals · Meet defined SLAs and KPIs related to application development and support · Improvements and optimizations to stabilize the plant Specific Features of the activity · Resource is required to work from New York, USA · Resource should be keen to learn newer things related to technology and domain · Resource should be energetic and passionate to drive results for business needs and personal growth in the area of technology and/domain knowledge Job Type: Contract Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: Congers, NY 10920: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
