Laboratory Administrative Assistant

EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Administrative Assistant in Smyrna, GA. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS systemReview paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctnessQuality control of samples to ensure sample integrityTransfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locationsCoordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administrationGenerate reports, invoices, and enter data produced by analysts into the computer system for the production of the final, client ready reportEnsure the final report is prepared and that the results are reported to the client in a timely mannerAssist with internal and external client questions via phone, e-mail, and in personAct as a liaison between clients and laboratory staffOther responsibilities as deemed necessary by the managerRequirements:High School diploma or GED equivalentAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely and without restriction or sponsorshipExperience in administration, data entry, and customer serviceProficient in MS OfficeExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clienteleAbility to work in a high volume environmentAbility to stand and sit for various lengths of timeAbility to lift up to 25lbs.Effective time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi- task and prioritize with minimal assistanceAvailable Shift:Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Smyrna, GA are encouraged to applyEMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and FSA.To find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.com
