X-Ray Tech

Job Summary:The X-Ray Tech is responsible for performing radiographic procedures on patients in various settings, including adult acute care, adult outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and the operating room. This position requires proficiency in a wide range of X-ray skills and the ability to work during 3rd shift/nights, every 3rd weekend, and on-call as needed.Location: Springfield, Illinois, United StatesResponsibilities:Perform abdomen X-rays, including decubitus and supine (KUB) views.Conduct chest and thorax X-rays, including AP, lateral decubitus, and routine views.Operate O-ARM equipment.Perform head X-rays, including facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull, and temporomandibular joints.Conduct lower extremity X-rays, including ankle, femur, foot, knee, and tibia-fibula views.Perform mobile/surgical X-rays, including C-arm procedures, portable abdomen, and portable chest.Conduct spine and pelvis X-rays, including cervical, hip, lumbar, pelvis, sacrum, coccyx, and thoracic spine views.Perform upper extremity X-rays, including clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder, and wrist views.Perform trauma shoulder or humerus X-rays (Scapular Y, Transthoracic Axial).Document patient care and related duties appropriately.Required Skills & Certifications:ARRT certificationBLS certificationActive Illinois state licenseMinimum 1 year of experienceRequired Work Setting Experience: Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, Operating Room.Required Abdomen/ GI X-Ray Skills/Experience: Abdomen decubitus, Abdomen supine (KUB),Required Chest and Thorax X-Ray Skills/Experience: Chest AP, Chest Lateral Decubitus, Chest routine, Upper Airway (soft tissue neck).Required Equipment Experience: O-ARM.Required Head X-Ray Skills/Experience: Facial bones, Orbits, Paranasal sinuses, Skull, Temporomandibular joints.Required Lower Extremity X-Ray Skills/Experience: Ankle, Femur, Foot, Knee, Tibia-Fibula.Required Mobile/Surgical X-Ray Skills/Experience: C-Arm Procedure, Portable abdomen, Portable Chest.Required Spine and Pelvis X-Ray Skills/Experience: Cervical Spine, Hip, Lumbar Spine, Pelvis, Sacrum and/or Coccyx, Thoracic Spine.Required Upper Extremity X-Ray Skills/Experience: Clavicle, Elbow, Forearm, Hand, Scapula, Shoulder, Trauma shoulder or Humerus (Scapular Y, Transthoracic Axial), Wrist.Preferred Skills & Certifications:Cerner experienceLevel I Trauma experienceSpecial Considerations:On-call required as needed.Clinician will not float outside of scope to meet facility needs.RTO restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.May be required to work holidays.Scheduling:3rd shift/nights (hours of either 1830-0700 or 1900-0730)3 12-hour shifts per weekEvery 3rd weekendSchedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
